Stay in Kakum National Park

Kakum National Park is situated in the Central Region of Ghana, it covers an area of about 375 square kilometers. It was first established as a reserve back in 1931, but only in 1992, it became a national park.

One unique thing about this park is that it was not established by State Department of wildlife, as it usually happens, but the founders were local people who realized what they had was unique, and they had to somehow protect it for future generations.
