Um, a theater that exists in the midst of the Amazon Rainforest? Yes please! The three story building is considered a to be Renaissance architectural style and has several international features, including Italian Celestial Sacardim behind the design, steel walls from Glasgow, stairs and columns formed from Italian marble, and roof tiles the colors of the Brazilian national flag from France. It’s no wonder construction of the theater took 15 years, finally complete in 1896.

Why is it bucket list worthy?

If you needed another reason aside from it’s in a rainforest, it is also home of the annual Amazonas Opera Festival.
